Moving to a new home or office? Proper preparation is key to ensuring a stress-free and efficient moving day. Follow this comprehensive guide to get everything ready before our London Man Van team arrives.

How to Prepare for Our Moving Team’s Arrival

1. Inventory List & Item Condition Check

✅ Prepare an inventory list of all items being moved to help keep track of everything.

✅ Take photos of valuable or fragile items before the move to document their condition for your records.

✅ We are not responsible for damaged items if the damage is not reported to our team or office before they leave the delivery location.

2. Packing and Labeling - Customer’s Responsibility

✅ Pack all loose items into boxes and securely seal them with strong packing tape.

✅ DO NOT overload boxes - keep each box under 20kg to ensure safe lifting and transport.

✅ Make sure the bottom of each box is properly taped to prevent items from falling out while carrying.

✅ Label each box clearly with its contents and the room it belongs to.

✅ Fragile items should be wrapped in bubble wrap or protective materials and marked as "FRAGILE".

❗ If you have not requested our packing service, or if your items are not properly packed and protected for transport, this is entirely the customer’s responsibility. We are not liable for any damage caused due to improper packing.

3. Furniture Preparation

Disassemble furniture (if necessary) before our arrival to save time. If you require our team to do this, please let us know in advance.

Use plastic sofa and mattress covers for protection. These can be purchased from us if needed.

Secure any loose parts (screws, bolts, small components) in labeled bags and attach them to the corresponding furniture item.

4. Access & Parking

✅ Ensure that our team has easy access to your property. Remove any obstacles or furniture blocking the way.

✅ Reserve a parking space as close as possible to your property for our moving van. If a parking permit is required, please arrange it in advance.

✅ If moving from or into an apartment, check if a lift is available or inform us about the number of stairs.

5. Final Check at Pickup Address - Customer’s Responsibility

✅ Ensure all items have been taken from the pickup address. Once our team leaves, we are not responsible for any forgotten items.

✅ Walk through your home before our team departs to confirm nothing has been left behind.

6. Checking Your Items Before the Team Leaves

✅ Inspect the condition of your items before our team leaves.

✅ Report any damages to our team or office immediately. We do not accept complaints once the moving team has left the delivery location.

7. Checking the Van Before Our Team Leaves

✅ Before our team leaves, please check the van to ensure nothing has been accidentally left inside.

✅ If any items are left in the van after departure, it will be the customer’s responsibility to collect them from us.

8. Essential Items to Keep With You

✅ Important documents, valuables, jewelry, and medications should be carried with you personally.

✅ Basic toiletries, a change of clothes, snacks, and chargers should be kept aside for easy access.

✅ If you have pets or children, arrange for their care during the move to avoid disruptions.
